What qualifies for a POTM?

I have been thinking about this a lot and I do wonder what exactly constitutes a player of the month? There are several players who are great people and obviously have contributed to the game but in the month they are selected im not sure they do anything. Not trying to call people out, but some get it and then it says for hosting a tournament, tournaments take months and it doesnt really seem like the makes someone the player of a whole month just for arranging one when there is like 10 tournaments going on at the moment. I am not really sure how its chosen so i hope someone can show me how its chosen. (Notice: I am not trying to be POTM I am just wondering what do they mean to the community to be chosen as the best player).

Side Note: I think a POTM should be someone who is very active in the month and contributes a lot to the game itself, not just tourneys and such but just being a player in the very sense of the name, there are many players that play many games a day and contribute 100s of forum posts a week in serious topics about issues and they are kinda overlooked for players who havent really been in this community in the recent times and I dont think know what is actually going on. It should be someone like Clovis or someone else who is here every day and is in the community working on ways to improve it, not to mention he has a tournament going up right now lol.

Usually it's just people that the mods notice are particularly helpful or do something to contribute to the community. There is no set criteria it's incredibly flexible. And we would take suggestions but we almost never get any.

Being respectful, helping in help chat and not trolling the people asking (Which so many people are mean to the people looking for help). Contributing to the community, giving back to the community such as PC prizes from tournaments, Not getting muted, Not being a problem player, do something no one else has ever done (In a good form).. Overall just be someone who does not get introuble by the moderators.

Who ever gives the besy bj to one of the mods gets it.

Being mod can beer very stressful they need active player to relieve stress

Also sharing your loli collection gives you bonus points. Send all lolis to Safari and Desu

yes but how much is destoria played? rarely, not saying its a bad map but it didnt even come out in the month he won, shouldnt he win it for that month? I think that the mods can actually pick a POTM but im not sure much effort goes into it, and it just feels like they pull up a list of old winners and friends and just pick there, without really going deep into the most contributing player

1 year back the players who used to awarded Potm. I used to hear their name the first there itself. I wonder who are these guys lol
When you are saying player of the month. It should be someone who have played significant part to something. Maybe wining a tourney or playing a crucial part in cws for their clan(players like clovis, mauzy, lao among others). They really deserve to awarded. For those who help out they should get maybe most helpfull player award. Being helpful doesn't mean you are player of the month.

What about the mods and admins select 'the player of the year'. Someone who did much for the community and gets a special medal for this. I was thinking it can works about like this:

- Every month, we (mods and admins) select the player of the month. This is a player who helped us with reporting, new ideas and suggestions, bug fixing, winning a awesome game, helping players on forum, hosting a awesome tournament, etc.
- Any player can candidate a other player for player of the month, but at the end of the month, the mods and admins will decide what player has won.
- We will post the player of the month on the public forum every month.
- All players that became 'player of the month' are automatically candidate for the 'player of the year' award.
- At the end of the year, one of the players that has been the winner of the month, wins the 'Player of the year' award, and gets a special medal at his profile (just like you have with winning a tournament).

Let me know what you guys think of this. I think it will give a positive boost to players to do more reporting and giving us new ideas. Let me start with the player of the month July: Avatar

I just want to point out that everyone of you can help voting for POTM. I and I am sure other mods as well like getting suggestions for POTM. When someone tells me about a good candidate I do a short research and if that is true I nominate that person.

So if you have a person you think he/she really deserved to be POTM. I can't wait to get your private messages

Over the past months and years several players have contributed with the nomination of POTM candidates. Be part of this and PM Safari or any other member of the Mod team your personal choice of player to be considered as suitable for the POTM. Just be sure send only one candidate per month and the reasons why this player should be POTM.
