Hi,

I know, I know, 48h turns are already pretty long.
But ... I think that simply offering the possibility of having longer turns (72h, 96h, 1week) is not a suggestion that would negatively impact people that would not use it (as gameplay changes could), and it might please some old farts like me that have no time to play huge maps between two diaper changes (for the old farts themselves, or their children, depending on how you define "old") and sleepless nights that required naps all day long, etc...

Anyways, just saying it could be of some use to some, and it might not be that hard to implement...

Thank you!

Coupled with the possibility to save part of your moves before ending your turn (see http://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=8582), that would really allow huge maps with a lot of units to be playable by people that have less time on a daily basis... or allow people to put more thoughts into their moves, for those who care...

Longer time periods between turns I support, the reason I don't play casual games is some days I am to busy to play atwar at all, tablet aw will help that, however the suggestion makes sense to me.

Sounds good, though I wouldn't be one to use it much....

Sometimes you do indeed don't have time. For others, it's not just 'sometimes', but all the time. You will be served as our example dish tonight.

The above means I support your proposal.

I support but, if they were a week long I think there would be a problem with how many games would be up.

Could be wrong though

Since we have a new owner, I thought I would bring that (unimportant to most) topic to the forefront... I know that at least 2 of my friends would join games if we had 72 hour turns... and it doesn't hurt anyone else to have the option ... Maybe if it's not too much programming, it would be neat...

I would join them as well... my present schedule in r/l doesn't always allow internet access every 3 days... usually once a month i'm in a non-serviceable area for more than 2 days, so i haven't been playing casual games anymore... if this is easy to do, i think Dave would be open to it... there are a fair number of military and other service type of people he is aware of that may be better serviced by a 72 hour format.
