Fuck yeah, Rio. Hot chicks. Sunny weather. Criminality and corruption everywhere. Private sector companies eating preserved areas. Really, it's cut and pasted directly from a GTA plot. Here's the map that I'll be working on. It's around 10000x5000 pixels, which places it around the same size as the world map. Neighborhoods and favelas are the territories and cities of the map, with income and reinforcements drawing greatly from real world data. But in the end, if something doesn't quite work in game, it's going to be gutted out - gameplay should definitely trump realism. With that said, I'm planning to have a variety of custom units in the map, drawn from the city's own culture: Caveirão, a huge fortified transport truck, used by the BOPE (Special Operations Batallion) to raid the favelas. And fortified tanks also used by BOPE: The BOPE itself: And drug dealers:

If you remove Really [...] and add something else (like: Carve your path on a cocaine line and bodies) it becomes the best map description ever.
