The skill gap is widening and iv heard alot of interesting theories as to why. Well heres mine, when most of us started playing with the exception of some, there where no custom maps or at the very start of custom maps they sucked. Well now they are here and they are here to stay, here my problem, almost all custom maps are unbalanced and easily exploitable by a low rank player looking to abuse those exploits for quick sp. That is an issue in itself aswell as the valueable training you get early on from playing the world map. Each year iv watch a new generation flow in and each year iv watched them get dumber and more and more of the old players leave do to lack of interest. The only way i see viable to mend the tear is to not allow players access to scenario right away. Make it a feature you must work twards. Through leveling up to rank 5 and learning the fundementals of the game. This is what made this game fun. This is what we need to go back to. I am a map maker i make these scenarios myself so dont think im just some old geezer on this game bitching about scenarios, i want the quality of the player playing my scenarios to increase so i and everyone else can enjoy the game more. Tell me what you think about a mandetory rank 5 requirement on all scenarios. If this dont suite you we need something because this game is falling fast right off a cliff.

Oh gosh not the same crap over and over again. If you low rankers want to improve they will seek out better players to play with, will have a look at forums for newer ideas, join stronger clans etc.

Please don't enforce your model of how it should be on them. Let them have fun. If they like playing RP or GOT or any other scenario let them play. People want to have fun more than they want to win. So let them be.

Most sensible post yet on this shit thread. You have to remember though, most atWar users are 20 something white, libertarian, conservative, neo-Nazi males with hardons for Aryan Germany, etc. They don't like when things don't go their way, basically.

No, absolutely not.

Why restrict the amount of fun low-ranks are allowed to have? If they want to get better, they will get better. If they have no desire to, then no amount of forcible Default Map games are going to make them better.
