3 v 3 EU Tournament Idea

Just for any who thinks this is a great idea for running a tournament like this:
So there will be two phases:

1st phase - Ranking
-Players ranked by ELO.
-a certain time period (ex. 2 days) given where players can improve rating through dueling.

2nd phase - Team Selection
-Top 8 ranked players will be called captains.
-The 1st Round of picking each captain will pick a single player lower ranked than them to be their first team mate. They will do so with the 1st seed picking first all the way down to the 8th seed.
-The 2nd Round of picking the 8th seed is allowed to pick the third player on their team first. So the 1st seed will pick their third player last.
-Team selection is over once every team has 3 players.

Team Selection Clarifications/Parameters:
-A team captain can pick another team captain lower ranked than them. In this event, all players below that captain who joined
the higher seeded captain will move up in rank. So for example the 1st seed picks the 7th seed. 8th seed moves up to 7th seed
position and the 9th ranked moves up to the 8th seed position etc.
-If a team captain denies the invitation they are not allowed to be picked by anyone else.
-Players who will not become a team captain or are not already a team captain can not deny an invitation onto a team captain's
team.

3rd Phase - Elimination Rounds
-Much like sports.
-The double bracket will have in the Quarterfinals the 1st seed vs. the 8th seed, the 2nd seed vs. the 7th seed, the 3rd seed vs. the 6th seed, and the 4th seed vs. the 5th seed.
-In the semi-finals, the winner of 2nd vs. 7th will be against the winner of 3rd vs. 6th and the winner of 1st vs. 8th will be against 4th vs. 5th.
-In the finals, that leaves the semi-final winners against each other.

4th Phase - Awards
-Winning team gets big prize.
-Finalist (loser of finals) team gets smaller prize.
-If you feel pity and want a third place then fine.
