Welcome to our participants!

Here is the Bracket:

Reserves:
1. Rasputin
2. gowan1982
3. Mad Grizzly
4. Ironail

RULES

1. SCHEDULING MATCHES

It is the responsibility of Tournament participants to arrange a time to play their matches against their assigned opponents within 1 week of the beginning of each round.
1a. Should participants be unable to agree upon a time within the one week for whatever reason, the tournament director will assign a time for the match to be played, first by attempting to reconcile the player's schedules, and finally by fiat should accommodations be unattainable.
1b. If only 1 player attends the time assigned for the make-up match, that player will either be assigned a reserve to play, or be deemed the winner, as decided by the Tournament Director
1c. In the even that neither player makes the make-up match, the Tournament director can at his discretion either reschedule the match again, or disqualify both participants.

2. CREATING A MATCH

When both players are in attendance, and ready to play the match, the top player of each bracket will create the 1V1 Game with the following
settings:

Map Name: Europe
Starting Funds: $10,000
Turn Duration: 3 Minutes
Maximum Players: 2
Allow Joining until week: 1

Victory:
Capture Capital: Hold for 2 Turns
Maximum Game Duration: 50 Turns

Advanced:
Initial Countries: 1
Allow Rejoining: No
Allow Alliance: No
100 Additional Cities: No

3. Playing a Match

The Match will be played as any Afterwind game, until:
a. the victory condition is achieved,
b. the maximum turn occurs, in which case, victory will be determined by the player with the most SP.
c. One player surrenders or quits the game, in which case, the remaining player is deemed victorious

4. Reporting a Victory

It is the responsibility of the Victor to report the result of the game to the Tournament Director via Private Messages.
4a. If possible, the winner should take a screen shot of the results of the game, showing the winner
4b. In the event that a screenshot is unavailable, the results must be corroborated by the losing opponent for the match to be considered valid.

5. Tournament Policies

This is a single-elimination tournament. There will be a consolation game between the losers of the Semi-Final matches to determine 3rd place. In the event of a situation unspecified in the rules above, the Tournament Director will have the final say on any and all decisions to resolve disputes.

Don't make me come over there and smack you!

I would like to know if it's possible to change my adversary(sinecure) with someone else since we know each other tactics and etc.

You should've told him to lose, then you would've had to face me. Tough luck, now it's your turn to fight him

Like I said I really need to change my adversary. It's not because he's an hard opponent but because we both know how to win the match. We did a lot of practice together and it wouldn't be a fair match since we would fight about using the key.I don't want to be picky I'm just asking for a change.

You can beat germany by rushing it( or better strat than your opponent).
But on 1 vs 1, it's the best country.

I like UK to start often--UK+France+Holland in week 1 is pretty strong, esp. when armies can't cross over into England without Transportation like they used to....

Alas, the format for this tourney does not allow for changing opponents
Sometimes it's more interesting to play against an opponent you know very well....

TOURNEY UPDATE:

Still waiting on Ironfist/Pinheiro Round 1 Match, and due to confusion in the match between FranklySinatra and Guest14....whatever stupid #'s he has..... they've both agreed to a best-of-three for their match up, but this will delay their completion of Round 1.

Those players who already know their Round 2 opponents may schedule them at any point:

(Specter vs MarcJr, Vafika vs. Sinecure)

I won the match against ~Guest.

Guest made the mistake of attempting to cross from Britain to France by land (A glitch that had been fixed) causing him to lose the precious first turn without transports. By the time he hit the mainland I was in Italy and marching on Berlin.

It was a very good game, lasted 20-ish turns before I beat him.

i belive this is last needed for round one

I have a question on the game settings. With these new rare units what should they be set to? I would assume off to keep consistancy in the tournament.

None should be what there set for since its a random factor and say someone is playing MoS and other gets the Spy satellite its over for that person.. I vote no

Yeah it should obviously be set to none so as to have this be a measure of actual skill and not who can get a nuke first.

With Frank being somewhat under the weather, Guest takes game #2 of 3. In lieu of playing 3rd game, Frank is going to concede the round due to his illness. A true gentleman and scholar, FranklySinatra wins the Tournament's honorable mention character award.

But I've updated the bracket, and you and sinecure can play your semifinal match whenever you like--the loser will still get to play in the Bronze medal game

Bronze is actually better because it is two metals in one.
