by this i mean someone who actualy will take care over trolls and scenario players problems

wowe, a scenario admin player is not enough? Or you guys specifically wants a MapMaker? Either case, such distinctions (eu/scenario mod) shouldn't exist IMO.

but the distinctions exist, and we want a pure (or atleast a major) scenario player, mapmaker can work aswell, just need a player that will take care of trolls and such, even if they troll the part he doesnt really care for

Furthermore, I consider that NWE must be destroyed

I made a scenario recently that requires 20 players called "World in 1450" The problem is whenever i host my scenario the max players is 4 and i cant change it. it has been like this for a couple days if anyone could help it is much appreciated.

I explained to you how to fix it, delete all scenario sides and readd them and it will fix.

If there's one thing we've learned in the years we've spent on atWar is that it's impossible to please everybody. For every change you roll out, 2 people will be cheering and one will be whining - and that's a good case scenario! Maybe before you change them ask the whole AW community and not just the "elites" if they want something to be changed or not.

"Most people" or "the whole atwar community" is a vague, immeasurable and largely silent group which players tend to use to as a pretext for their own desires. While i was r0-8 i just played away at my worldgames spamming blitz and mos. What did a few strat changes matter to me? What could i possibly contribute to such a discussion. In that thread are 26 upvotes from most of the active high ranks in the community. Who better to decide on how strategies should be balanced than the communities most experienced high ranks?

Of course you can always attempt to go down the populist route and change the game according to threads like this. LB unarguably the most powerful strat in the game at the moment was voted as the 2nd weakest by 20% of the voters. You always can try listening to them and see which changes bring about the larger backlash. I play other strategy games and i haven't encountered a single 1 where the meta is determined by the uninformed desires of the masses. Please point me in the direction of a game that does that.

Strat changes have always been implemented after discussion by the games top players. People have always complained afterwards. Why the fear now? Ivan has said it himself. The game could remain the same the next 5 years and people would complain. Nobody is attempting to achieve perfection. We all know that doesnt exist. 2013 saw the pd/sm/imp meta. 2015 saw the gw/pd/gc/imp meta. 2016 - present sees the gw/lb/ds meta. Time to move on again so all the high ranks dont get bored. We are only trying to advance the meta. The vast majority of players will continue playing their scenarios and world games uncaring. And the jugers2s and players of that ilk will return to the game from long spells of inactivity to complain because they actually have to relearn some of the game.

Your call guys. I won't derail this thread any further.

The first is to allow rejoining in clan wars while the game is on hold. This one is really really long overdue.

The second is a game option to change the rate at which reinforcement turns arrive. If it's easy to code it would be a nice optional way to spice up standard play.

I partly agree with you but what does a top player mean?Its the 3v3 player?What about scenario players?I like more the aproach to ask every clan that is active in community affairs that lets ask only the top players.

We can't really force everybody to participate in the discussion, if they don't want. I'm fine with the fact that it was public discussion and everybody had a say in the progress.

Personally I'm against the trend of changing the strategies whenever the game becomes boring or some recently discovered country + strategy combo arise. Ivan doesn't wants to do it. I remember Ivan once said that Amok's view was "let's never touch them again". I guess we're all on the same page with the topic.

I value public discussion a lot though, and I think it's fine to risk changing the strategies one more time if there's some sort of consensus (or a very big part of agreements) among the community. For LB, this appears to be the case. Everything else in the thread is too controversial IMO.

Amok may have decided on using it as a metric independently but as for the first player to talk about it, I remember Cow (superiorcaocow) suggesting it be implemented in early 2012.
