I'm back, once again!
What's the biggest update I've missed? I saw that this game is now HTML 5 compatible. Has that reduced lag?

I'm afraid that with the "speed" of Internet in North Korea where you and the other 8 people use it, you won't see that much difference.

Anyway,
yes it has reduced the lag dramatically, for those who experienced it;
the game can be played on mobile devices, though work on making it mobile friendly is yet to begin;
the Silverlight version is there for casual games to be finished and maps to be made and edited. The HTML5 map editor is to come out( of the closet?) soon.

I miss Puzzles

A lot of updates for the game , even almost all of the strategies were changed so i urge you to take a look at the unit panel

It's been dead for a long time, hasn't it. The coalition was mostly active during the AtWar Beta when cartography was introduced.
