Your drunk if you think any country can actually own American land. It's like when the older brother let's his young and dumb sibling use his stuff for a while. Sure China thinks they own the clay, suuuuuuuure. Good luck actually enforcing your sovereignty over it lol

America at its height couldnt stop Cuba from nationalizing american financed companies on the island lol

i;m not drunk (yet) - i am looking for where i first heard about this - can't find it after a quick search. But how i recall it works is much like an embassy, in which the US agrees it would not enter the Chinese owned land without agreement. Chinese were 'digging' under the land so US couldn't spy on it, and the concern was Chinese could bring pieces of weapons (guns i think) and then assemble them underground. Of course, the concern was if they could assemble guns, what's to stop China from assembling more destructive weapons, such as bombs/missiles, bit by bit underground on 'us land', resulting in reduced response time.

That could allow them to do terrorist attacks or help in a preemptive invasion, but if push comes to shove it's a logistical nightmare and they'd be cut off from supplies surrounded by enemies.
